Description
The WA121525 and WA121545 boosters are used to optimally charge 12V lead-acid, lead-gel, AGM and lithium batteries while driving (regardless of the alternator voltage). In the case of alternators with energy-saving charging strategies (Euro 6), the use of a booster is absolutely necessary, as the charging voltage fluctuates very strongly (12.6 - 15.0 V). With conventional alternators, the living area battery charge is also improved by using the boosters WA121525 and WA121545. The use of a booster is essential for AGM batteries that require a charging voltage of 14.7V. The WA121525 / WA121545 boosters are clocked step-up / step-down converters that compensate for the fluctuating alternator voltage and provide a high charging current. There are corresponding charging characteristics for lead-acid, lead-gel, AGM and lithium batteries (with their own battery management) can be selected. Furthermore, both devices have a current-dependent switchover to charge retention and temperature compensation, i.e. the option of adapting the charging profile depending on the temperature of the living area battery. The recommended maximum battery capacity for the WA121525 is 100Ah; in addition, the WA121545 should be used due to the otherwise excessive charging time. The WA 121545 also includes a voltage sensor, external fuse protection and connection material.
